Was ist MeinAlpenStrom und was macht diesen Stromanbieter so besonders?
MeinAlpenStrom produziert 100% Ökostrom aus eigener, regionaler Kleinwasserkraft. Als unabhängiger Ökostromanbieter agiert MeinAlpenStrom in allen Geschäftsbereichen nachhaltig und ressourcenschonend. Das bedeutet den nachhaltigen Umgang mit Rohstoffen und Produktionsmitteln, personellen Mitteln, und finanziellen Mitteln. Dadurch entstehen also weder CO2-Emmissionen noch radioaktiver Abfall. It is also important for MeinAlpenStrom that its prices are always transparent and that there are no hidden costs for the user.
The electricity itself is generated at the Frohnleiten and Niklasdorf hydroelectric power stations, which can also be visited. One of the ecological measures of MeinAlpenStrom are the fish ladders per power plant, including rest areas with little current for the fish. By the way, the profits from MeinAlpenStrom are used for projects dedicated to the expansion of renewable energies.

Wie funktioniert der Wechsel zu MeinAlpenStrom?
Der Wechsel ist ganz leicht. Auf der Homepage von MeinAlpenStrom kannst du deinen Stromverbrauch ganz einfach berechnen und dann zwischen 3 verschiedenen Tarifen wählen, ich habe mich für den „EchtÖkostrom Aktiv“ Tarif entschieden. Danach müssen nur mehr die persönlichen Daten angegeben werden, der Rest wird von MeinAlpenStrom erledigt.
How does the switch to MeinAlpenStrom work?
The change is very easy. On the homepage of MeinAlpenStrom you can easily calculate your electricity consumption and then choose between 3 different tariffs, I have opted for the „EchtÖkostrom Aktiv“ tariff. After that you only have to enter your personal data, the rest is done by MeinAlpenStrom.
Wie helfen die MeinAlpenStrom Challenges Geld zu sparen?
Der Tarif „EchtÖkostrom Aktiv“ ist besonders für Personen geeignet, die durch Sport den Strompreis senken wollen und dadurch zusätzlich etwas Gutes für die Umwelt tun wollen. Bei MeinAlpenStrom kann sich jeder durch erfüllen bestimmter Challenges 2 Wochen gratis Strom pro Jahr erarbeiten und somit bis zu 20 Wochen gratis Strom pro Jahr erhalten. Jede Challenge kann auf der Webseite eingereicht werden, diese bleiben bestehen und man erhält dann jedes Jahr pro erfüllter Challenge 2 Wochen lang gratis Strom. Challenges sind zum Beispiel das Absolvieren von 3 Yogaeinheiten, das Fahren von 3 langen Strecken mit dem Zug, statt dem Auto oder die Teilnahme an einer Wanderung zum MeinAlpenStrom Kraftwerk. How do the MeinAlpenStrom Challenges help save money?
The „ EchtÖkostrom Aktiv“ tariff is particularly suitable for people who want to reduce the price of electricity through sports and thus do something good for the environment. At MeinAlpenStrom everyone can earn 2 weeks of free electricity per year by fulfilling certain challenges and thus receive up to 20 weeks of free electricity per year. Each Challenge can be submitted on the website, these will remain and you will receive free electricity for 2 weeks for each Challenge you complete. Challenges are, for example, completing 3 yoga units, driving 3 long distances by train instead of by car or participating in a hike to the MeinAlpenStrom power station.
